The primary interest of this research was to evaluate the structural features of parts sheets 304 Bansara southeast and 315 Ikom northeast. This study started with literature reviews of past research works on geologic structures done within the area, other parts of the country and across the globe, followed by the identification of basement rocks in the field with observation and field name was given to the rock samples. The measurement of strike and dips of linear/ planar structures to decipher detailed structural imprints from the orientation of folds, faults, rock contacts, joints and fractures in a bid to unraveling the structural patterns as well as produce a geologic and structural maps. The field work was done during the dry season of the year due to the rugged and slippery to enable coverage the length and breathe of the area of concern. The igneous and metamorphic rocks showed imprints of multiphase deformational episodes in brittle and ductile structures. The common trend of structures were the NW -SE close to (0 0 -40 0 ) and N -S orientation which likened to the Pan -African Orogen because of it pervasiveness and dominant when compared with minor trends of E -W to is close 90 0 , ESE -WNW, the Pre Pan-African imprints.Ductile deformation were prominent in the northern and central parts Bansara as the structural transformation brittle towards Bansara southeast to Ikom area.Similar metasediment (quartizites) that were observed in parts of Igarra area where seen along some rock cuts in the study area.
