The sustainability of the construction industry supply chain has been an issue of concern to policymakers, stakeholders, and researchers.Yet, there needs to be more literature that holistically integrates the drivers, practices, and performance outcomes of environmentally sustainable supply chain management. This study, therefore, proposed an integrated Environmentally Sustainable Supply Chain Management (ESSCM) framework. The framework posits that construction industry organizations could be driven, pressured, or motivated by a variety of factors to implement environmentally sustainable planning & design, procurement (purchasing), production, distribution/marketing, reverse logistics practices. However, the key to successful implementation lies in collaboration. It's only through shared responsibility and teamwork that the construction industry can truly embrace ecologically sustainable supply chain management practices, leading to environmental, social, and economic performance outcomes. The study contributes to the body of scarce knowledge on the construction industry's sustainable supply chain management and has practical implications for the policymakers, the construction industry, and the various stakeholders involved, emphasizing the importance of working together for a sustainable future.
