The paper provides an overview of works by Russian and foreign authors dedicated to the frame as a way for organizing and storing information. The aim of the study is to present a version of the developed terminological system using the example of the “Aerospace Engineering and Space Exploration” industry in English. Particular attention is paid to the way of structuring industry knowledge for creating the conceptual apparatus using frame analysis. The scientific novelty of the paper lies in systematizing highly specialized English lexicon in the field of aerospace engineering and space exploration through cognitive analysis, i.e., distributing lexical material across frames identified by us, specifying the given subject area. Taking into account the semantic and conceptual features of the lexical material allows for the formation and further formatting of the terminological base of this industry. The identification of frames performs a meaning-forming function, as the further structural-semantic analysis of lexical units and their placement within the model depend on the frame itself. The study resulted in a systematic model of terms, as well as the consideration of paths for transforming this model, i.e., possible ways to expand and modify it.
