In this article, we examine regulatory policies related to alcoholic beverages, which are alcoholic beverages which the government prohibits from being distributed to local areas. In alcoholic drinks there is an idea that in every region of Indonesia there are variations related to alcoholic drinks, one of which is traditional alcoholic drinks, this is related to the culture of each region which is found in the Indonesian regions of East Nusa Tenggara, Bali and Tuban, East Java. As time went by, the regional government and the Governor saw that this was being done by regional communities, so the Government made regulations to legalize these traditional alcoholic drinks for consumption by regional communities for reasons of local cultural needs in the region to respect their ancestors.
