Analysis reveals ultrasonic radiation enhances particulate matter coagulation in exhaust gases, indicating improved pollutant removal.
An analysis of the relationships describing the process of coagulation of particles in the exhaust gases of the car was conducted. Two main mechanisms of coagulation are considered: the natural Brown movement of particles and the effect of the active force of ultrasonic radiation. Particular attention is paid to the effect of ultrasound on the efficiency of aggregation of particulate matter in a silencer, which can significantly improve the quality of cleaning from solid pollutants. For quantitative description of the process, it is proposed to use the coagulation degree formula of Professor A. S. Kadyrov, taking into account the dynamic characteristics and viscous properties of the medium. Various models of coagulation were analyzed, confirming the advantage of the selected dependence in terms of accuracy and adequacy of the process description. The results of the study can be applied in the development of new effective ultrasonic silencers and exhaust gas purification systems, helping to reduce atmospheric pollution and improve the environmental safety of road transport
