The issues of soil salinization in conditions of urban territories are considered. The lake ecosystems of Yakutsk is object of the study. Five large lakes were selected: Beloe, Khatyn-Yuryakh, Ytyk-Kuel, Sergelyakh and Saysary. The soil cover of lake areas is characterized by a predominantly neutral pH, low content of organic matter, available potassium and phosphorus. The average content of total toxic salts (TTS) reaches 0.11%. The dependencies of specific electrical conductivity, Corg, NaCl and pH on the TTS were established. These connections are regular, but they determine the particular conditions of content and characteristics of the state of soils. As a result of the research, it was established that the predominant type of soil salinization is chloride-sulfate, the degree of salinization is weak or absent.
