Cultural heritage in times of climate crisis: state of the art

Climate change is currently posing obstacles to society, imposing various challenges on cities and the preservation of their cultural heritage. The aim of this paper is to carry out a state-of-the-art study on research into the impacts of climate events on sites of interest for preservation. The methodological procedures comprised four stages: delimiting the theme and research question; searching academic databases; establishing inclusion and exclusion criteria, and analyzing the materials. The studies found reveal gaps and the need for an integrative approach to the preservation of cultural heritage in the face of the impacts of climate change.
