Academic practices for sustainability: meliponiculture as a theme in design

This paper aims to report the academic practices related to meliponiculture carried out in the Bachelor of Design at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora in 2023, aiming to increase the visibility of meliponiculture and sustainable design. To this end, a case study was carried out covering three activities developed over the course subjects, in addition to interviews with professors and students involved in the projects. As results, the reach of concepts related to meliponiculture among the local population stands out, given the extensionist nature of the work and the positive impact on the perception of the university's internal sectors regarding the benefits of interaction with Design.
