Some discussions about the concept of development are making the sociocultural conditions of the future of humanity current. Authors from the global south are participating in systemic alternatives that envision another humanity in which cultural and political autonomy takes center stage. Such extraordinary possibilities as the most significant social transitions, in this context, can be guided by design, so that future possibilities are more significant in social and environmental terms. From the solution of problems proposed by Herbert Simon, Arturo Escobar attempts are sought as an ideal solution for the post-development of this model of proposals for the critique of the order of problems of the K design culture, presented by Krippendorff and rational solution presented by Krippendorff and a functional solution for thinking about design in a post-human context by Laura Forlano. This article discusses the interpretation of a post-developmentist design, offering a significant opportunity to reimagine design practice as a driver of social, economic, and ecological transformation.
