The study consists of a systematic review based on published scientific works, with the objective of identifying the parameters most used in the assessment of environmental impacts caused after the implementation of hydroelectric plants, especially those related to water quality. The searches for scientific information were carried out in the Scopus, Web of Science, IEEE and EBSCO databases. The most frequent parameters in physical-chemical analyzes of water samples in the studies evaluated were pH, temperature and dissolved oxygen. The microbiological parameters were coliforms (total, fecal and thermotolerant), aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.
