The article presents a study on the implementation of an automated micro-drip irrigation system in a school garden, aiming to integrate concepts of sustainability and practical education. Conducted by engineering students through problem-based learning methods, the project aimed to optimize water use and promote environmental education. Methodological procedures to solve the problem included field visits, system sizing, and development of automation proposals with specific materials. Results demonstrated the system's feasibility for water saving and as an educational tool, suggesting possibilities for future improvements and practical application in educational contexts.
