The purpose of this research is to detect and identify misconceptions about photosynthesis among junior high school students. This study employs a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Data collection was conducted using simple random sampling on 162 eighth-grade students from a junior high school in Pasuruan Regency, using a Four-Tier Diagnostic Test consisting of 15 questions and in-depth interviews with several students. The results of the study show that the average misconception among students about photosynthesis falls into the moderate category, with the percentages being 34.33% understanding the concept, 58.93% having misconceptions, and 6.53% not understanding the concept.
