This study aims to find out the relationship between self-control and FOMO to social media addiction in Generation Z in Sidoarjo City. Using a quantitative approach with correlational methods, this study analyzes the relationship among independent variables (self-controll and FOMO) and dependent variables. (adiksi media sosial). The research population was Generation Z in Sidoarjo, with samples taken using non-probability sampling methods and purposive Sampling techniques, involving 271 respondents aged 13-25 years.Research instruments use a Likert scale with four or six choice answers to avoid neutral answers. The analysis shows that there is a significant negative link between self-control and social media addiction, as well as a significant positive link between FOMO and social network addiction.This research provides important insights into the factors that influence social media addiction in Generation Z. The findings indicate the need for self-control and FOMO management strategies to reduce social media addiction among Generation Z.
