Although vertebral and epidural metastases are common, intramedullary metastases are rare. Intramedullary spinal cord metastases (ISCM) account for only 0.1-0.4% of metastasis tumors. About 26.5% of the tumour primaries are from breast cancer. Due to rapid neurological deficit deterioration, followed by short life expectancy, early diagnosis should be made to treat the tumor as any other central nervous system (CNS) metastases.
