Abstract

Abstract Acrylic acid, oxidant, and reducing agent are essential raw materials for the synthesis of the polycarboxylate superplasticizer. Adjusting their amounts can change the molecular weight and structure of the polycarboxylate superplasticizer. This article studies the effects of the amounts of acrylic acid, oxidant, and reducing agent on the dispersibility of the polycarboxylate superplasticizer. It characterizes the structure of the synthesized polycarboxylate superplasticizers. The results show that when the amounts of acrylic acid, oxidant, and reducing agent account for 9.0%, 1.00%, and 0.15% of the mass of the polyether macromonomer, respectively, the dispersibility of the polycarboxylate superplasticizer is optimal.
