A comparative analysis and optimization of antenna systems for a broadband radio direction finder, situated on small-sized mobile platforms have been carried out. Optimization was carried out according to six indicators of the antenna system (SWR, dimensions, gain, Front/Back ratio, polarization, change in the shape of the radiation pattern in the frequency range). The results obtained showed that the use of combined antenna systems (including several antennas for sub-bands) is not promising. Antenna systems with frequency-independent spiral and logoperiodic antennas are the most effective.
