The concept of the "Backbone Network" of the Russian Federation's motorways within the framework of the implementation of the national project "Safe High-Quality Roads"

The article describes the initial concept of the "Backbone Network" of Russian Federation highways, the main stages of its development, including indicators for selecting highways for this list. The main quantitative characteristics of the "backbone network" are considered, and the topic of bringing the roads in question to a standard condition and their subsequent maintenance is also considered. The structure of the updated concept of the "backbone network" is given based on the approved Transport Strategy of the Russian Federation until 2030 with a forecast for the period until 2035.
