This report describes a protocol for a systematic review at the nexus of the subject areas of climate change, health, and equity. This protocol follows the PRISMA-P guidelines for reporting the systematic review and meta-analysis protocols. The presented protocol, titled ‘Climate change, health, and equity: An investigation of European literature’, are uploaded as an OSF preprint prospectively. The resulting database of articles chosen through the study selection process will be uploaded on OSF Projects, also titled ‘Climate change, health and equity: An investigation of European literature’. All authors contributed to the development of the protocol and Ian Hamilton will act as a guarantor of the systematic review. The primary objective of this review is to investigate the existing literature at the intersection of climate, health, and equity in Europe. This review seeks to (1) identify gaps and ask questions, (2) develop a comparative analysis of existing frameworks on climate justice and health justice to identify synergies and intersections in disciplinary understanding, and (3) influence future research in this area.
