This study aimed to identify factors influencing college life satisfaction over four years from 2019 to 2022, focusing on changes in college life satisfaction and core competencies based on participant background variables. The study also examined the correlation between these factors and the variables that influence them.It was designed as a cohort study, observing changes in groups sharing common experiences.Data was collected annually in November through surveys on college life satisfaction and core competencies at University A from 2020 to 2023.Missing data that could potentially cause analysis errors were removed to prevent distortion of the results, resulting in a final sample size of 1,246 participants. The study analyzed the impact of various factors on college life satisfaction and core competencies. The main findings showed an overall decrease in college life satisfaction over time and an increase in some core competencies.Additionally, satisfaction with cocurricular activities was found to be correlated with both core competencies and college life satisfaction.Major variables such as students' backgrounds and types of participation influenced college life satisfaction and core competencies. The results provide a foundation for universities to develop strategies aimed at enhancing students' core competencies and improving college life satisfaction.
