Personnel must deploy and retrieve high-speed boats on naval vessels (such as military ships or coast guard vessels) for mission execution. However, the risk of safety accidents is high in turbulent maritime conditions with unpredictable weather changes. To address the need for Unmanned Surface Vehicle(USV) retrieval in these situations, this study utilized the TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) methodology to develop a device while satisfying given constraints.Particularly, the study employed ARIZ-85C (Algorithmic TRIZ) to resolve technical issues and contradictions, aiming to facilitate the easy and secure integration of USV with the mother ship. Before applying ARIZ-85C, a preliminary problem analysis phase to understand the problem context precisely. While numerous methods exist for problem-solving, this research established a problem-solving direction to meet the provided constraints and maximize the utilization of available resources.Furthermore, functional analysis was carried out to analyze the components and interactions within the technical system. This process focused on articulating the core functionalities of the technology.Functional deployment was employed to systematically analyze the functions required for the technical system and select the core functions. These analyses identified target areas for problem resolution and idea generation based on functional deployment.Subsequently, following the ARIZ-85C procedure, contradictions were addressed, and an ideal final result was derived. This approach aimed to develop a solution for USV retrieval while meeting specific constraints and maximizing available resources.
