Highly reactive, long-term stable, and low-cost non-noble metal–nitrogen–carbon (M–N–C) catalysts have been widely considered as promising catalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) in alkaline anion exchange membrane fuel cells (AEMFCs). However, the slow chemical reaction kinetics and poor stability of these catalysts remain the main challenges for their widespread application. Herein, Mo2TiC2–NH4 supports are utilized by loading non-noble metal CoCu–N–C as the ORR catalyst for AEMFCs. The half-wave potential of CoCu–N–C/Mo2TiC2–NH4 reaches 0.87 V and decreases by only 2 mV after 10 000 cycles. The fuel cell peak power density based on the CoCu–N–C/Mo2TiC2–NH4 catalyst is over 500 mW cm–2.
