As one of the most important modules in the wireless communication system, the radio frequency power amplifier's performance directly affects the performance of the entire wireless communication system. Research on power amplifiers has been developing in the direction of broadband, integration, and high performance. Based on the continuous theory and filter matching theory, this paper proposes a continuous class F power amplifier, which expands the impedance matching space by introducing a correction factor. Compared with the traditional class F power amplifier, it effectively increases the operating bandwidth. A 0.5-2.5GHz ultra-wideband power amplifier is designed and implemented. The filter is used as the output matching network, which reduces the loss of the 50Ω transmission line and improves the transmission efficiency of the system. The design results show that in the 0.5-2.5GHz frequency band, the saturated output power is as high as 41.5dBm, the gain is about 12dB, and the power added efficiency (PAE) is 58%- 64%. This structure reduces the design difficulty and circuit complexity, has the advantages of wide frequency band, high efficiency, etc., and can well meet the needs of current wireless communication systems.
