The aim of this article is a scientific survey of the lignocellulosic and inorganic supports used to immobilize Candida rugosa lipase in the biodiesel production process. The methodology used was a database search on the Web of Science journal portal, using Boolean operators, from 2010 to 2023. A total of 36 articles were obtained for final analysis. The studies covered in this review show that covalent bonding and physical adsorption are the two most widely used immobilization methods. Among the inorganic supports, silica is the most studied. On average, the optimum temperature and pH for Candida rugosa immobilized on different supports was around 40ºC and 7.0 the optimum pH. Therefore, new immobilization techniques still need to be explored and developed.
