Since 2007, nearly 316 universities nationwide have established Master of Translation and Interpretation (MTI) programs, which have produced a large number of translation professionals for society. However, the overall employment situation is challenging, and it is worth our attention to investigate the real job seeking conditions and quality of MTI graduates, as well as the factors influencing career choices in the field of translation.
