Background: A systematic review and meta-analysis will be conducted to assess the effects of atrial fibrillation (AF) on patients with brugada syndrome (BrS). Methods: Studies enrolling patients with BrS and AF will be included. Primary outcomes will include major arrhythmic events, syncope, and all-cause mortality, while secondary outcomes will include the rates of SCN mutations. Results: We will search OVID MEDLINE, Cochrane CENTRAL, and EMBASE up to January 2024. Data will be extracted and analysed using standard meta-analytic techniques. Conclusion: Our findings will provide insights into the effects of AF in patients with BrS, aiding clinical decision-making in this population.
