This text proposes to consider and calculate all-optical switch where the optical signal is controlled by light. The switch is MCF (Multi core fiber) has two cores between which optical streams can be switched. The switching mechanism consists in instantly changing the refractive index depending on the light intensity. The work includes estimating switching power as well as considering its dependence on pulse length and two-core fiber length.
