Based on the empirical study, three groups of employees were identified depending on the severity of the psychological characteristics of borderline mental states: employees with pronounced psychological characteristics of borderline mental states, employees with an average level of severity of signs of borderline mental states, employees with a low level of severity of signs of borderline mental states .n accordance with this, borderline mental states in penitentiary officers manifest themselves in the form of pronounced neuroticism and psychopathization, as well as overcontrol, anxiety, depression and suspicion. Focusing on the positive results obtained after testing a psycho-correctional program aimed at reducing the severity of negative features of the manifestation of borderline mental states among penitentiary officers, recommendations were formed on the organization of correction and prevention of borderline mental states among penitentiary officers.
