Presentational MathML, when created using current best practices and some general rules for good encoding, can support publication of accessible digital math content in retail and LMS platforms for all learners, including students preparing for licensing exams, college students, and professionals looking to supplement their existing knowledge or earn continuing education credits. Technical, Academic, and Educational publishers are increasingly migrating their math content to MathML to enable single-sourcing and repurposing content integrated into physical publications and digital-only learning management systems for assignments and assessments. Successful deployment depends on math content markup that meets publishers’ presentational requirements and includes the implied semantics needed by the tools. Tools helping publishers mark up and publish accessible math have changed significantly in the last ten years.
