This study investigates the transfer of certification practices from the military aviation industry to the aerospace sector, emphasizing operational safety and compliance with international standards. The objective is to analyze and compare military certification processes with those of innovative aeronautical and space products, aiming to enhance their effectiveness and applicability. The adopted methodology includes a systematic literature review on military and aerospace certification, as well as a detailed comparison of the type certification processes for aeronautical and space designs. The main results highlight the shared technological complexity and economic challenges faced by the sectors, underscoring the critical need for comprehensive certification processes to ensure safety and regulatory compliance, supporting strategic objectives in advancing a safe aerospace sector aligned with global standards.
