The Cousrse “Fundamentals of Russian Statehood” as an Integral Part of a State Policy to Base National Identity and Patriotism Within Students in the Russian Federation

The Russian leadership declared patriotism as the national idea, but its practical implementation in the education system did not occur until the start of a special military operation in 2022. The paper analyzes the problems of teaching the course “Fundamentals of Russian Statehood,” introduced into the programs of all Russian universities in September 2023. The author, using his teaching experience, provides his perspective on the goals and objectives of this course, taking into consideration Russia’s political situation and strategic national interests. Furthermore, the author puts forth and supports his version of the topics for lectures and seminars.
