The genome sequence of the Chalk Carpet moth, Scotopteryx bipunctaria ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

<ns5:p>We present a genome assembly from an individual male <ns5:italic>Scotopteryx bipunctaria</ns5:italic> (the Chalk Carpet moth; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Geometridae). The genome sequence is 326.4 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 16.38 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 16,083 protein coding genes.</ns5:p>
