As a classical high performance cathode material, ion and electron mixed conductor (MIEC) is essential for solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) to maintain good power conversion efficiency at low temperature. In this paper, a new electrospinning technique and the introduction of A-site defect mechanism were used to improve it. The results show that the absence of Y 3+ in the Y 1–X Ba 0.5 Sr 0.5 Fe 2 O 6–δ (YBSF) lattice can obtain higher oxygen vacancy concentration, accelerate the oxygen ion transmission rate, electrochemical performance becomes more ideal. As a single battery cathode, the PPD of Y 0.95 BSF nanofiber material at 700 °C is 445 mW cm −2 , which is much higher than the power density of YBSF nanofiber material at 700 °C of 214 mW cm −2 , and the Rp at 700 °C is 0.208 Ω cm 2 , which is much smaller than 0.448 Ω cm 2 .
