Abstract This paper presents a discriminant method of cervical squamous epithelium cells based on computer image analysis. The discriminant coincidence rates indicate that this method can be an appropriate reference approach of classification and diagnosis on cervical squamous epithelium cells, and potential applications are presented in a tentative study on automated image analysis system for cytological fields.
