A grass chopper machine is essential for farmers because it facilitates easy grass chopping, enabling quicker feed provision and labor savings. Despite the daily necessity for farmers to provide grass as the main livestock feed, the current method of serving it lacks effectiveness in increasing feed consumption. Most farmers still rely on traditional grass chopping methods. Hence, the development of this elephant grass chopper machine aims to ascertain its capacity. The research findings on the design of a grass chopper machine, featuring various blade types and operating at a speed of 3000 RPM, indicate that utilizing 4 blades yields the highest chopping rate at 5.845 kg/minute, with a fuel consumption of 88.5 ml. Implementing 3 blades results in a chopping rate of 4.370 kg/minute, with a fuel consumption of 67.5 ml, while using 2 blades produces the lowest chopping rate of 3.121 kg/minute, with a fuel consumption of 49 ml.
