Recently, we reported a novel design of perfect flexural wave-absorbing metasurface that provides broadband performance and accommodates wide incident angles. The proposed absorber is manufactured using advanced 3D printing technology. The simple design and fabrication process could be easily expanded from 1D to 2D structures. In this study, we conduct experimental evaluations on both 1D and 2D structures, showcasing its exceptional noise and vibration attenuation capabilities compared to conventional damping treatments. Our approach offers practical potential for the development of lightweight materials suitable for noise and vibration control in confined spaces.
