This study aimed to determine the type of parenting pattern applied by parents in guiding beginning reading in dyslexic children. This research uses descriptive qualitative. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data validity uses data triangulation which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and verification stages. The number of samples used was 1 third grade student of SDN Tembok Dukuh III. The results of the study prove that parents apply permissive parenting in caring for their children with dyslexia, including rules are not clearly communicated and not forced, accept all children's behavior, and obey and liberate children's abilities. This is due to parents' education, lack of time and attention from parents because both parents work together, socioeconomic level, and environment.
