Organizational aspects of public security management by internal affairs bodies

Introduction: the author considers certain organisational aspects of public security management by law enforcement bodies of Russia, geopolitical influence and other factors on the activities of law enforcement bodies in the field of public security. The author also analyses challenging problems of the work of internal affairs bodies and suggests measures to solve them. Materials and Methods: system approach and dialectical methods of cognition, which allowed to reveal the substance and content of the management of the activity of internal affairs bodies and to suggest ways of its improvement. Results: the command post exercise plays a significant role in improving the efficiency of the management by force and means of internal affairs bodies in extraordinary circumstances and feeds the formulation of results and performance indicators when assessing their activity. The author focuses on the proactive adaptation method based on the relationships between the subject and object of management, forward and backward linkages, which allow to improve the effectiveness of the management system. Discussion and Conclusions: in order to achieve the strategic goals of law enforcement, it is necessary to quickly organise the transition to a qualitatively new level of management, which responds to the contemporary challenges and requires the improvement of the process.
