SUMMARY: Aim: Purpose: Pope Francis, on May 9, 2024, issued the apostolic bull Spes non confundit, by virtue of which he announced an Ordinary Jubilee Year, which will last from December 24, 2924 to January 6, 2026. The main theme of the announced Jubilee will be hope that cannot disappoint (cf. .Rom 5:5). The article shows, through the prism of hope, the most important forms of celebrating the Jubilee Year, i.e. opening the Holy Gates in Roman basilicas and other jubilee churches, pilgrimages to holy places and gaining the gift of indulgences. Methods: In order to achieve the stated goal, the following methods were used: historical, descriptive and liturgical-contextual. Results: The study of the papal bull clearly shows that the Pope wants this extraordinary period to be a time of grace and salvation for the Church. The modern world and the Church living in it need to rediscover and deepen the virtue of Christian hope, which opens the prospect of eternal life to people. Conclusion: The opening of the Holy Door invites you to go on a pilgrimage and cross it to experience God's mercy, which gives birth to hope. Originality: In the pilgrimage to the eternal homeland, God supports his people by forgiving their sins and granting the grace of indulgences that cleanse man of sins and their consequences.
