LoRa (Low Range) is one of LPWA (Low-Power Wide Area) networks and is used in various IoT (Internet of Things) services. In LoRa networks, as the number of devices or transmission time increases, the probability of collision increases rapidly and throughput decreases significantly. In LoRa, various SF (Spreading Factor) allocation techniques have been studied to solve the problem of throughput reduction due to inter-packet interference and collisions. In this paper, we propose an SF allocation method that distributes traffic load for a multi-service environment with different traffic characteristics. The proposed SF allocation method was able to increase the packet transmission success rate by maximizing the capture effect and lowering the packet collision probability.
