As a result of research during 2021-2023, valuable samples of grain sorghum were identified as a result of an assessment for drought resistance using the conductometric method, which determined samples with a lower degree of damage to cell membranes. It is recommended to use the following samples in breeding to increase drought resistance: varieties Magister, RSK Coral and the L-65/14 line with a relatively low degree of damage to cell membranes – 27.84-34.63%. Among the studied CMS lines, samples with the lowest degree of damage to cell membranes were identified: A2 KVB 114- 43.24%, A4 KP 70 – 43.66% and A2 Sudzern – 42.99%, which are advisable to use as maternal parent forms when creating drought–resistant hybrids of sorghum crops.
