‘Understanding’ and ‘Explanation’, ‘Explanation’, and ‘Understanding’ are inextricably linked. Explain for understanding, and understand for explanation. theology is a statement about God and all the realities that surround us. Explaining and theorizing this reality is inevitable at this time. Alister McGrath, who has led scientific theology in the modern scientific worldview, put great emphasis on this theorizing work and advocated critical realism through explanation. However, surrounding us with natural scientific research and explanation, we are surrounded by natural scientific research and explanation. Not all reality is explained. How should we look at the parts that are inevitably left open to interpretation? In this respect, Heidegger's hermeneutics can serve as a complement to all realism, not only McGrath.
