Sugarcane crop is a commercial and cash crop. Sugarcane agriculture is a multi-product crop, that is, after sowing seeds once, it is produced three to four times. The first crop taken after sowing seeds for sugarcane agriculture is called ratoon crop and the subsequent crop is called plant crop. In the present study, Gurur development block and Balod development block of Balod district have been studied for the study of ratoon crop and plant and the problem of supply of raw material in Maa Danteshwari Sahakari Sugar Factory established in Balod district and the problems and solutions of sugarcane farmers. Sugarcane farmers in Balod and Gurur development blocks cultivate sugarcane in large quantities and sugarcane is supplied in large quantities as raw material to the factory from these development blocks. In the study, data has been collected to analyze the production cost, profit and productivity per acre by doing a comparative study of sugarcane ratoon crop and plant in the agricultural year 2022-23. Mean, standard deviation and t-test have been used for statistical measurement in the study. For testing the hypothesis, the T-table value has been determined on the basis of 5 percent significance level and number of independent categories 198. A definite result has been obtained by comparing the calculated value of T-test with the table value. In the presented research study, descriptive and analytical method has been used and necessary suggestions have been given on the basis of comparative study of ratoon crop and plant crop.
