Findings of the study showed that persons with disabilities in Kawit need minimal assistance in independent and community living, recreation/leisure, and vocation. This concluded that they need to develop self-reliance to gain independence. Alternative Learning System is the suitable venue for the continuity of learning and acquiring skills. A Special program may be created to enhance their skills. Enhancement of the teachers’ capability in handling learners with special needs through trainings, seminars, and workshops is needed. Partnership among local government units, other stakeholders, and the Alternative Learning System in the implementation of the program is essential.
