The inability to fit the current conflict in Ukraine into the paradigm of war and peace familiar to European and Russian history is explained not only by the erosion of semantic boundaries between these two states, but also by the increasing blurriness of the familiar contours of the war itself. All aspects of military planning and the fighting itself were subordinated to the goal of defeating the enemy's army in such a battle. Today everything goes in a different way.
