From the point of view of energy security, the use of solar energy is of great importance in RA. For this reason, huge works are being done in RA for the installation of solar panels, obtaining electric and thermal energy. As of 2019, the amount of electricity produced by autonomous solar plants connected to the power system in RA was 13.1 million kWh, and in 2020 - 21 million kWh. Taking into account the current challenges, the Armenian government devotes a lot of space to the development of solar energy in our country. It will make it possible to save fuel and energy resources and solve some environmental issues. It should not be forgotten that as a result of the combustion of organic fuel, a huge amount of sulfur and nitrogen oxides and other dangerous substances are released into the environment. Fuel needs a lot of oxygen to burn. The aim of the work is to justify the design and construction of solar plants, to evaluate their economic efficiency in different climatic conditions of Armenia. Methodology. The basic laws of classical thermodynamics, as well as the basic formulas of heat balance, were used. To establish the economic efficiency of the construction of solar plants in different climatic conditions of Armenia, taking into account the environmental issues as well. The buyback period is 4 to 4.74 years. The proposal can be used to evaluate the efficiency of solar plants in different settlements of Armenia.
