The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficiency and agronomic practicality of the inoculant based on Paenibacillus azotofixans, Bacillus subtillis, Bacillus lichenformis, Bacillus circulans applied to sugarcane. The experiment was carried out in the states of PR, SO, GO and M. The variables measured were: number of tillers at 30 days after planting, number of tillers at 40 days after planting, number of stalks at 60 days after emergence, stalk failures at 60 days after planting, plant height at 180 days after emergence, stalk diameter at 180 days after emergence, tons of stalk per hectare, total recoverable sugars, sugar yield per hectare. These results have important implications for sustainability, as, in addition to increasing nutrient absorption, this study showed that inoculation with P. azotofixans + B. subtilis + B. licheniformis + B. circulans is a viable strategy to maximize the efficiency of fertilization on sugarcane productivity.
