Abstract Scientific and reasonable evaluation of the flexibility of the new distribution system is of great significance for the construction of the new distribution system. Firstly, based on the characteristics of the new distribution system, a flexibility evaluation index system with 4 first-level indicators and 12 secondary-level indicators is established from the four levels of power supply side, grid side, load side and energy storage side. Secondly, the cooperative game idea is used to combine and assign the three objective assignment methods, namely, entropy weight method, CRITIC method and coefficient of variation method, to ensure the accuracy of the weighting results. Finally, the Gaussian cloud model is used to analyze the distribution system in a region of China, and the calculation results of the Gaussian cloud model in the example are compared with the results of the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model to verify the reliability and accuracy of the method. The results show that the proposed evaluation method can identify the weak links of the new distribution system and provide theoretical reference for accelerating the construction and sustainable development of the new distribution system.
