Abstract This study investigates the boundary layer Williamson fluid flow as well as heat transfer triggered by a nonlinearly expanding sheet. The fluid flow of liquid films has been reported to be two-dimensional. A suitable approach has been set up to solve the modeled problem. Chebyshev wavelet operational matrix method is newly devised method for transforming the non linear differential equations to nonlinear algebraic equations. This computation is flexible and facile due to the generation of integral matrices. From these integral matrices unresolved Chebyshev wavelet coefficients are determined with the help of newton raphson method. Thus solution to the given Williamson fluid flow is achieved. The convergence of the approach is currently demonstrated through computation. The non dimensional physical quantities are estimated by employing Chebyshev wavelet method which is effectively executed as a novel study. These findings are validated with previous data thus demonstrating perfect synchrony in the physical parameters. These novel procedures have the potential to boost research and technology for future generations.
