Purpose. To evaluate the possibility of macular holes closing with platelet-rich blood plasma without internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling and vitreous cavity tamponade. Methods. We studied a group of patients with vitrectomy without ILM peeling, a total of 17 eyes. Results In our study, we noted a significant improvement in best corrected visual acuity from 1 month after surgery, the dynamics of central retinal photosensitivity showed a clear improvement from 3 months after surgery. Overall photosensitivity of the retina improved faster than central photosensitivity of the retina. However, at 3 months after surgery these indicators had the same rate of improvement. Conclusion. Surgical treatment of macular hole with preservation of the ILM allows obtaining good anatomical and functional results with maximum satisfaction of the patient with the result of treatment.
