In this article we study we review and compile data from the literature of the tumor cell biology, origin, therapeutics, metastatic mechanism and tumor-host interactions.Cancer originates through a sequence of somatic mutations in DNA that result in unrestrained cellular proliferation. Most of these differences require genuine sequence alterations in DNA (i.e.Mutations).They may arise as a consequence of random replication defects, exposure to carcinogens (e.g.radiation), or defective DNA repair machinery.Different drugs useful for the therapies of cancers are explained in a lucid manner.Carcinomas can invade local tissues and preform metastasis, that is distant spread by the lymphatic and haematogenous routes.
